In January of 2006, Distinctive Renovations prepared our basement for
installation of a waterproofing system. This included
removing cedar wall panneling, molding, a door frame and book case,
removing acoustic ceiling tiles , and untacking and folding back the
carpet. After the waterproofing was completed, it was all put
back together. In this case it was necessary to match the
existing stain and paint color and this was done perfectly.
All this work was done professionally, skillfully and in a timely
manner and exactly as priced and specified in the original
proposal. A job foreman was always on site or readily
available to explain the work to the crew and make sure it was
being carried out correctly. He also checked in
with us and answered any questions or concerns that we had.
When the work was completed the job site was cleaned and all
construction debris was removed. We were very satisfied with
the whole process and the end result. We would recommend
Distinctive Renovations highly.

I am a rehabilitation case manager who works with disabled individuals,
who sometimes need to have their homes modified to enable them to live
more independently in the homes. On such occasions, I have to
arrange for a general contractor who coordinates and oversees the
repair work/modifications that need to be completed to make the house
more accessible.
I have contacted Mr. Michael Rogers of Distinctive Renovations for work
that has been recommended on some of my clients’
homes. He has been able to give me quick estimates of the
costs and time frames for the necessary work to be completed. Then,
once a contract has been signed, he has been very punctual in getting
the work done.
With one client, who was very perfectionistic and demanding about the
work being done, he worked diligently to make the changes so that they
were very satisfactory to her. With another client, he made
some repairs that needed to be done immediately due to safety concerns,
without concern about whether or not he would be compensated for the
work. He is clearly concerned about the quality of his work
and the well-being of his customers. All work completed by
Mr. Rogers’ company has been of excellent quality and

Approximately one year ago, Distinctive Renovations performed an
extensive renovation to the basement of our 30+ year old
house. The job entailed a complete replacement of the paneled
walls with drywall, and a remodeling of the ceiling wherein the duct
work was rearranged to allow for a partially raised ceiling.
The flooring was re-done, new electrical and cable outlets were
installed as well as new lighting; basically the entire basement was
made new. The job took approximately one and a half

My home was plagued with water coming into the basement in the area
just under the front entry of the house. The volume of water
coming in was always in proportion to the amount of rainfall that
occurred. For five years and 3 (supposed) repairs later, the
problem persisted. Then I met Michael Rodgers with
Distinctive Renovations. Mr. Rodgers did not provide me with
just a quick fix to the problem like other had. He carefully
diagnosed the problem which in fact included a number of complications
all attributing to water coming in over the basement wall.
Mr. Rodgers detailed for me the amount of work and the process; gave me
a complete itemization on what was to be accomplished and all costs
associated with the repair work. He provided excellent
customer service in communicating regularly with me and my sister to
make sure the work was to our satisfaction. No one was ever
as detailed as he was, neither could they be found when the problem
returned. About a month or so (maybe longer) after
Distinctive Renovation completed the work, we had a torrential down
pour and then persistent rain that lasted about three days.
Mr. Rodgers called to ask did we have any problems and how did things
hold up. I was glad to let him know that there was not one
drop of water streaming down the basement wall. Following-up
after the fact to further insure that a job is done properly is truly
an indication of someone with integrity and who has pride in his
craft.

It’s been almost a year to the day when you met me in a panic
trying to sell our home but due to a structural issue with not having
enough support around our chimney the first contract fell
